Civil War Stories from the Fields of Glory

An Ensemble Tour Celebrating those who answered their country’s call to duty during the Civil War

Led by Deb Coffey, our very own CW aficionado, guests were taken to visit 9 men and women at rest in Mount Hope Cemetery who were involved in the Civil War. Graveside presentations were given by FOMH tour guides who shared stories of those who fought in battles, who cared for wounded soldiers, and brothers who fought together. Included was James Hard, the oldest verified living Union Veteran in the country, put to rest in MHC at the age of 111.

It was a beautiful day with a great group of Civil War enthusiasts.

Special thanks to Deb Coffey for being the creator of our ensemble tours. These tours are favorites here at Mount Hope Cemetery.
