On December 17, 2022, at 12 noon, 7 wreaths were laid in the Civil War Plot at Mount Hope Cemetery, and 2 wreaths were placed at the Boyd and Parker Monument. This marks the second year of our Wreaths Across America ceremony at Mount Hope Cemetery to honor our veterans through the laying of remembrance wreaths on the graves of our Civil War and Revolutionary War veterans.

On December 17, 2022, at 12 noon, 7 wreaths were laid in the Civil War Plot at Mount Hope Cemetery, and 2 wreaths were placed at the Boyd and Parker Monument.

Our short ceremony featured a welcome by Patricia Corcoran from the Friends of Mount Hope Cemetery and a patriotic tribute by Nathan Thompson of the SUVCW. After the ceremony the group adjourned to the gatehouse for refreshments and camaraderie.

We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln Camp #6, led by Commander Ed O’Brien. Not only do they organize the Wreaths Across America program each year, but they also have raised funds to help us restore the GAR Civil War plot.

The FOMH are honored to collaborate with this wonderful group.
